Description

The Andy King Regular Striking / Marking Knife was jointly developed by IBC and Good Woodworking Magazine Technical Editor Andy King the IBC/King regular striking knife is ideally suited to general layout work and the marking of shoulder lines. Once struck the marked line is used as a register for the chisel or saw to ensure the cutting of accurate joints.

The knife features a finely machined arrow head blade from IBCs unique high vanadium AISI A2 tool steel with a single sided duel 25-degree bevel and angled at 55 degrees for ease of left or right handed use. The blade is hardened to 58-60 HRC with a double temper and cryogenically treated to ensure the ultimate in edge retention.

The handle is turned to an ergonomic profile from selected American Black Walnut that offers the user excellent control and comfort then fitted with a stainless-steel ferrule to bolster the connection between the blade and socket.

All in all one of the finest striking knives currently available with the quality of an heirloom tool but without the price tag
