Paraffin Wax

Have you ever thought about how you can save money, here’s one option by collecting your own timber and converting it yourself, either by felling that wind damaged tree or collecting it from the local tree surgeon. Then this is the ideal solution when storing and seasoning your timbers, simply melt down and apply a liberal coat of the paraffin wax to the end grain timbers, which will prevent the timbers from splitting during storage. You could also take the timbers along to the craft fairs and make a bit more money by selling them at your stall. Woodturners alike are always looking for that extra piece of timber. The paraffin wax can also be used for mixing with other waxes to make your own wax polish and can be used to lubricate draw runners etc
