Description
Another way of decorating and inlaying your project, is the use of metal powders mixed in with resin to create your own unique inlay.
Most of us would have at some stage while working at the lathe turning a nice project only for it to split, crack or leaving an unsightly mark and unwanted voids in your work, rather than throwing the piece in to the scrap woodpile try our metal powders mixed with the resin to fill the split. The powders and resin once hardened will turn and polish using woodturning tools and polishes.
The metal powders can also be used with woodcarvings highlighting patterns aswell as pen turning and ring making, a unique way of enhancing your finished work
Our metal powders are supplied in a bottle with a sealable top and are in:
- Aluminium Powder – 50g
- Brass Powder – 200g
- Copper Powder – 200g
The pictures show examples of the polished metal powders, the colours may differ due to the polish you use and your application techniques.
